Aims, objectives and outcomes

The aim of the partnership is to work collaboratively in order to address 3 identified needs of children, young people and families: resilience, health and positive parenting.

These identified needs will be addressed through running 2 projects geared specifically towards personal, social and emotional development of the participants and the improvement/enhancement of parenting skills.

Core objectives

The Building Resilience in Young People project aimed to increase and develop particular skills in young people. Eight objectives were set based on elements that could contribute to building resilience in young people:

  1. Increased self-confidence.
  2. Development of assertiveness.
  3. Improved communication skills.
  4. Personal awareness and awareness of others.
  5. Confidence in expressing oneself.
  6. Boundary setting
  7. Ability to work with other young people and on one’s own
  8. Presentation skills
  9. Team building (week 1)
  10. Members’ Committee and having a voice (week 2)
  11. Cooking: Gender issues and attitudes (week 3)
  12. Public speaking (week 4)
  13. Sexual health (week 5)
  14. Take up the Challenge (week 6)
