Young people’s evaluation of the project

All of the young people stated that they had enjoyed and learnt things from each of the sessions. Furthermore, they were keen to participate in the next project so as to get their silver award.

When asked if there was anything that they did not like or anything that they would like changed in order to improve the project the young people simultaneously said that they liked it exactly as it was. When further prompted to identify if there was anything that they did not like there was a resounding no. In fact when asked to state one thing they liked and one thing they didn’t they only responded to one thing they liked.

The young people commented on how friendly and sociable the staff were. Furthermore, that because the staff took the time to explain things and always went over things this made the project more enjoyable as they understood what was being discussed.

An element that they really like was the Take up the Challenge Award. This really was the icing on the cake for them. Not only did they participate in a project that looked at values and respect but that they also got an award for it. They did acknowledge how hard they had to work for it.
